At Forrester High School we want to encourage a positive attitude towards regular saving for the future.
We hope that you will agree with us and help promote this positive attitude that is essential if our students are to maintain a good sense of money management as well as experience future good health and wellbeing.
Forrester High School has teamed up with Capital Credit Union to offer the students here a chance to start on that path. “Forrester Future Funds” is our very own credit union. Students can regularly bring money into school and deposit it in their own savings account. When they leave school they can carry on saving through Capital Credit Union.
As well as offering a chance to save our credit union will provide, for those involved in its running, an excellent opportunity for gaining money management experience through the day-to-day business of the school branch of the Credit Union.
There is no set amount that needs to be deposited and a deposit does not need to be made every payment day.
If you would like your son/daughter to take up this opportunity and become a member all you need to do is click on the appropriate link above and download the application form. Fill in the application form and return it to the school office.
The school will verify the identity of your son/daughter (no passport or birth certificate required) and pass the application form and identity verification form to Capital Credit Union.
Capital will then post an account package directly to your home address.
Once you receive this package your son/daughter is ready to save.
If you have any queries in regard to Forrester Future Funds Credit Union please contact Lorna Watson (Mathematics department)
If your son/daughter is not yet 16 then the account we are offering is a Junior account.
This is a trustee account and will require an adult to stand as the students trustee until they reach 16 years old.

If your son/daughter is already 16 or older then the account they will open is a full member’s savings account.
Download the application form and direct debit mandate. (Student to fill in both).
A direct debit mandate is required for a bank account to allow for withdrawals.
Return the form(s) to the school office. The school will verify your sons/daughters identity and send this along with the application form(s) to Capital Credit Union.
You will receive your members pack by post to your home address. Your son/daughter will then be ready to start saving.
