We have received the following information from ParentPay………………….
ParentPay advice to schools
Please be aware it is unlikely that parents will be able to login to ParentPay before lunchtime today.
Parents who have attempted to top up meal accounts this morning will not have been able to do so.
We strongly advise that you make school catering staff aware of this issue – if they haven’t already been informed.
We will update you as soon as the issue is resolved and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this will be causing.
In addition to paying for trips and fees, you can now use ParentPay to pay for school meals.
There’s no need for pupils to take cash into school, you can top up your balance online which makes things a lot simpler and safer – no more losing dinner money on the way to school!
ParentPay is proving very popular as it gives you the freedom to make payments to school whenever and wherever you like.
You can stop writing cheques or searching for cash to send to school. It helps with your budgeting as payments are immediate, there’s no waiting for your cheques to clear.
ParentPay is safe, quick and easy to use.
ParentPay is live, however, you are not able to pay for lunches online at present.
This function is likely to be available in September and more information will be available once we have it. Please keep checking the website for details.
We do have 2 cashless catering machines on site. These allow you to top up your child’s account by putting money in them so your child can buy school dinners.
These machines take coins including the new £1.00 coins.
ParentPay, the new online payment system is now live.
This offers a more convenient way to pay for trips and fees, with the aim of making the school a cash-free environment.
You will also be able to pay for school meals, however, this option will not be available until September (the exact date is to be confirmed). We will provide more information regarding this option as soon as we have it.
We hope you will support us in achieving our goal to become a cashless school. Your support in using ParentPay will help the school enormously, thank you.
The council is changing the way they pay clothing grants. If you qualify and have applied for a clothing grant you will receive a payment directly in to your bank account.
You should receive your payment sometime after Monday 17 July and it will appear on your bank statement as ‘clothing grant’. Please look out for updates on their website, see below.

Free School Meals
Free School Meals Form 2017-2018 – FSM ASW APP 2017-18
Eligibility is based on the following –
• Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction from the City of Edinburgh Council based on you or your partner receiving this.
• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• Employment and Support Allowance (any income related element)
• Support under Part IV of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• Child Tax Credit ONLY with no Working Tax Credit and an annual income under £16,105
• Both Maximum Child Tax Credit and Maximum Working Tax Credit with an annual income under £6,420 If you receive this benefit you will ONLY QUALIFY FOR FREE SCHOOL MEALS/MILK
• Universal Credit – with a maximum monthly income of £500 (Income threshold from 1 August 2017)
