Head Teacher Update 14/10/21

Dear Parents and Students

Head Teacher Update 14/10/21 (previously shared through email)

As we look forward to a short break and a chance for everyone to re-charge their batteries, I would like to thank you for your continued support and perseverance during a particularly tough term. I hope that the school we return to on Tuesday 26th October is significantly different and that things continue to move toward a more normal way of working. (more…)

Head Teacher Update 8/10/21

Dear Parents and Students

As we approach the October Holiday, I am writing to share some important news. As I said in my previous update, this has been a most challenging period with a high number of absences relating to COVID self-isolation. This has meant that there has been some disruption to the continuity of learning and students will not always have had their own class teacher. Although this is not ideal, they should be congratulated for the way they have coped.

We are also grateful to the fantastic supply staff who have helped us during this time.

Head Teacher Update 26/9/21

Dear Parents and Students

It has been some time since my last update and, although life in the outside world seems to be returning to somewhere near normal, COVID is continuing to put considerable pressure on our school operations. With increased case numbers and associated staffing issues, the last three weeks have been as challenging as any during the course of the Global Pandemic. Nevertheless, our staff and young people continue to be determined to make the best of things.

I am writing today with some update regarding:

  • Extra-curricular activities and clubs
  • European Day of Languages
  • Our new Senior Team,
  • National Qualifications
  • Going out for Lunch

Head Teacher Update 29/8/2021

Dear Parents and Students

I am writing to give a few short pieces of update and to report back about our start to the term – I can’t believe we are already at the end of week 2. All year groups have made a fantastic start back after the summer and our S1 are already settling in to life at Forrester. Our S1 seem like a really nice group, again this year, and I look forward to working with them as they move through the school. (more…)

The Programmes, Courses and Training section contains a range of options available to young people who have left school and are not yet in employment, further education or training.
