Dear Parents and Students
The end of term is almost upon us, with just a few duties to complete.
We look forward to welcoming our P7 pupils tomorrow for the three-day transition programme. Having met with parents last week and worked with our P7s during our enterprise challenge the week before, we are all excited about their arrival and keen to get to know them better. Our S6 students will be on hand to support throughout the three days and in August, when the P7s become S1.
We are fortunate to have another fabulous group of young people in our new S6. They have been signing up to support with many aspects of school life. They will be supporting learning in lessons, volunteering as sports coaches and leading a number of committees. In preparation for all this, they have been engaged in a programme of team building which culminates in a visit to Go Ape next Tuesday. On Friday morning, they will participate in Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) training.
It has been an extremely busy term, with staff supporting an incredible range of wider achievement and extra-curricular opportunities. We will celebrate this through achievement assemblies next week and I hope to share more details in a Summer Newsletter.
Term will end on Wednesday 28th June. Lessons will finish at 12:15 and lunch will be available until 1:00pm. The school will then close for the summer holidays and reopen to students on Wednesday 16th August.
Thank you for the outstanding support you have given the school this session. I look forward to seeing everyone back safe and well on the 16th of August.
Thanks and best wishes
